We made our Kuaka to represent what we want to be like when we leave Paparore School. If you want to make one Here are the steps to.
So first you want to find some topic specific words to match what you want you Kuaka to be about. After you write your words on your feathers go over the words with a felt pen and fill them in with the same colour that you went over the words with. It may take a while but after you do that colour the feather’s in with the colour of your choice. Some of you feathers have to be in just one colour with no words on them. After you do that you can cut your feathers out but be careful with the scissors. When you cut out your feathers put them on your Kuaka and colour in any white spaces. Thank you for reading my story. I hope it helped

It was Fun when we were making the bird because we had to colour in and I like to colour in.

Have you made a Kuaka?

WALT-We are learning to be Kaitiaki in our community.

I really liked when we played who dirtied the water because Whaea Nina gave some people jars with different stuff in the jars like water, sticks, toilet paper, sewage water and more.I had a jar with sewage water and it stunk! My friend hazel had a jar with a green liquid.

It was fun because we got to get in a circle listen to a story and see how much the lake is polluted

Have you played who dirtied the water?
